AOTEAROA BIKE CHALLENGE 2025

1st – 28th February, 2025

Kick start the next quarter century by jumping on your bike throughout February. Last year saw record numbers of individuals and workplaces top the leaderboards across the Queenstown Lakes’. This year we want you to compete to see who can earn the most points by riding and encouraging others to ride.

In 2024 Queenstown Lakes’ bikers (you!!) cycled 140,000 kms in just ONE month! Collectively we made 11,000 trips by bike, and more than 5000 of those were for transport. This equalled less congestion on our roads, and a reduction of 7.2t of CO₂ in our environment.

This year’s Challenge is shaping up to be even better with more Coffee & Kai pitstops to reward our cycling community, plus free bike repair clinics and many other pop-up surprises… Watch this space for competitions, rewards and a calendar of events that’ll keep you going throughout February.
